Overview

At Seismic, we believe that AI, particularly Generative AI, will empower and transform how go-to-market and enablement teams operate and interact with customers. Seismic Aura, our AI engine, is powering this change and is being infused across the Seismic enablement cloud. Our focus is to leverage AI to make sellers and enablers more productive and efficient in their day-to-day tasks, and to drive more successful sales outcomes. 

AI is one of the fastest growing product areas in Seismic. We have announced and are launching our Aura Copilot AI assistant suite. In addition, AI is an integral part of our Seismic Meetings conversational & engagement intelligence suite. 


As a Data Scientist II, you will help design, build, and ship AI-powered product features, with a focus on agent-based and LLM-driven experiences. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other data scientists to develop end-to-end AI solutions that are reliable, scalable, and deliver real customer value.   

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across data science and product engineering, and who wants to grow their skills building production AI systems.   

 

Who you are:

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. 
  • Experience: 2–4 years of industry experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI (or 1–2 years with an advanced degree), with experience contributing to production systems or product features.
  • Coding Experience: Strong knowledge of Python is a must. Ideally comfortable with LangChain, pandas and other GenAI related python libraries. 
  • Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on skills in AI & ML service developmentend-to-end product engineering, and data analytics. Experience with GenAI and cloud technologies. 
  • Product & Customer Orientation: Ability to translate business and customer problems into technical solutions, and to iterate based on user feedback and data.  
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving product vision and business outcomes through technology. 
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Experience thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments, preferably within SaaS or technology-driven companies focused on customer and product innovation. 

 

What you'll be doing:

  • End-to-End AI Product Development: Contribute to the development of AI-powered product features, from prototyping and experimentation through production delivery, deployment and iteration.   
  • Applied ML & Generative AI: Build and improve AI/machine learningespecially LLM-based systems (e.g., copilots, conversational workflows, or agent-style experiences) using established frameworks and internal platforms.   
  • Customer-Centric Solution Design: Work with product and design teams to understand user needs and translate them into practical AI-driven solutions.   
  • Collaboration & Delivery: Partner with engineers, designers, and other data scientists to build, test, and refine AI features, balancing model performance, system reliability, and user experience.   
  • Measurement & Iteration: Help define and analyze metrics to evaluate model performance, product usage, and customer impact, and use data to guide improvements.

Seismic's annual base salary range for this position will vary based on applicant's location, experience, job level, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and alignment market data. The range listed below is the minimum to the maximum of our target hiring range.

Seismic's salary range for this position is: USD $78,600.00/Yr. - USD $135,600.00/Yr.

This position is also eligible to participate in Seismic's incentive plans in addition to base salary. The actual incentive amount will very and will be subject to the terms and conditions set in the applicable incentive plan.
